1c 8 mail error code 6. Correction of the error "The server refused access via the POP3 protocol" when connecting Gmail mail! Errors that may appear after setting up mail

Talking about the collection of mail in my articles, I remembered the nuances of collecting it from the GMail mail service. The fact is that it is with this mail service that most often there are problems during the collection of mail. All because of its powerful security, which sometimes reaches the level of insanity :) Of course, I am only FOR the high security of any services, but in the case of GMail, this sometimes goes beyond all limits. For example, we are trying to collect mail from our Gmail box, but the process is not going on, because Google is blocking the connection attempt for no particular reason. Having encountered a similar problem several times, I decided to write about the causes, possible options for the problem and how to solve it.

Problems that often arise when collecting emails from GMail boxes and their solution

When collecting letters from any Gmail boxes, very often users encounter an error “The server denied POP3 access for the given username and password”.

Below we will analyze 2 main problems due to which such an error can occur and how to fix them.

Of course, such an error can also occur due to incorrectly entered login and password from the second mail. As clichéd as it may be, make sure you're entering this data exactly right!

Problem number 1. POP3 access not enabled in Gmail plug-in

Before digging into the security side, you need to make sure that POP access is enabled in your connected box in the settings.

To check if access via the POP protocol is enabled, go to the mail settings (the button in the form of a gear) and on the “Forwarding and POP / IMAP” tab, in the “Access via the POP protocol” section, check the box “Enable POP for all messages”.

If this function is not enabled there, then you will not be able to connect the box! If access via the POP protocol is enabled, then look further ...

Problem number 2. Blocking access to connected mail for Google security reasons

As a rule, access to connected mail can be blocked due to a suspicious location from which one logs in to the second mail and/or due to a suspicious application from which one logs in. Everything would be clear if this system at Google would always work correctly. But very often it happens that access is blocked and a message about access blocking comes to the connected, while some strange location is indicated (for example, New York) and an unsafe application is reported. Letter example:

And this despite the fact that the entrance to the second box is performed exactly from the same computer as in the main one, the location is the same (obviously not the USA) and at the same time there can be no question of any application that is all the more unsafe :) I.e. Google can be 100% wrong in the location, and also in the fact that you are trying to enter the mail through some application.

I encountered a similar problem several times and in all cases the location was determined incorrectly and no programs were installed on the computer at all that somehow replaced the IP address, which could change the location.

Solution

First of all, if access to connected mail is blocked, you need to:

Conclusion

These are the nuances that can be when setting up the collection of mail from Gmail boxes. The collection process itself is simple, there are no complicated settings, as in any other services, but security often “naughty”, crosses the line and causes inconvenience. Hope the information in this article helps someone.

Good day, colleagues! Today I tried to set up sending messages from 1C and ran into a problem with sending messages. As it turned out, everything rested on the settings. Well, let's get it right.

Setting up an email account

To send mail, you need to set up the main account. For this you need to go:

Administration | Organizer | Setting up a system email entry

On the "Organizer" panel, do not forget to check the "Mail client" box to use the capabilities of the built-in mail client for interactions via electronic mail (e-mail).

Mail Sending Tab

Errors that may appear after setting up mail

First there was this error:

Checking account settings failed with errors: Error sending message: An error occurred while working with SMTP. Error code: 535. Server response: 5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted.

I looked at the forums, changed the settings in 1C, nothing helped and another one comes out:

Error sending message: An error occurred while working with SMTP. Error code 534. Server response: 5.7.14 Error accessing the incoming server. An error occurred while working with POP3: Error code 6. Server response: Web login required.

Fixing bugs after setup

The article starts with a screenshot of troubleshooting gmail login issues. It has an underlined link that leads to a page where you can give access to unverified apps. Here is the link: https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps. By clicking on it, you will see the same page as in the screenshot below:

Allowing unverified apps to access your account

I hope this article will help you solve the problem with setting up mail in 1C 8.
